Greatest Dog to Ever Live
Many moons ago, I was an idiot nineteen year old kid. On a whim, I thought it would be pretty cool to own a dog. So I got one. I knew nothing of the harshness of the world or the treachery of adulthood, let alone the implications of dog ownership for my carefree college lifestyle -- ouch. It was a rocky start to real responsibility, but I got lucky, because the dog I adopted ended up being the coolest son of a bitch that ever lived.
In the thirteen years since, Rimshot has been there with me through it all. For every joy, tragedy, triumph, and defeat, Rimshot's been at my side, being happy, loyal, and the best damn dog one could ever want. I've learned life's most difficult lessons with him in my corner, and now, we've finally come full-circle. In his death, I'm learning to cope with the most daunting of them all.
After all this time, it was and still remains so hard to let go. Rimshot was with me pretty much 24/7. At home, at work (also home), in bed, on errands. And now, that's where he will always remain -- forever near in heart and spirit.
We love you so much, Rimshot!
